    Godwin Incorporative Services (GIS) is a supportive living services provider dedicated to helping adults, seniors, and people with disabilities, who require unique health care needs rediscover their strengths, potential, and hidden abilities. 

    We support our consumers in gaining the capability and capacity to become self-reliant, independent, and empowered in their own homes by teaching them how to conduct activities of daily living (ADL) skills, which allows them to participate and contribute positively to their communities.

    Our Passion for Supported Living Services

    At Godwin Incorporative supported living Services, we have a deep love and passion for supporting people with disabilities. We are driven by Normalization in that we want to ensure that people with disabilities live an enjoyable and fulfilled life just like everyone else. We believe there is nothing quite like the energy and excitement of living a normal life, and we want to share that experience with as many people as possible.

      

    Godwin Incorporative Services promotes the autonomy and empowerment of consumers by implementing these five principles of SLS:

    1. Providing quality support to consumers in their own homes.

    2. Encouraging and supporting consumer choice and self-direction.

    3. Encouraging, assisting, and supporting consumers in having positive and reciprocated relationships.

    4. Assisting consumers in safely integrating into their community as productive community members.

    5. Providing flexible, tailored quality services and unique support.

    Our Passion for Supported Living Services

    Our journey began in 1973 with Taiwo Godwin, who, at the age of 18, dedicated his life to philanthropy by helping and supporting orphans, people with disabilities, and underserved. He was a kindhearted man who always believe in equality.    

    Taiwo Godwin would always say that the meaning of Godwin is in two parts. The first part is that love, caring, kindness, support, a helping hand, giving, sacrifice, empowerment, independence, believing in others, and having confidence in us and others are GODLY. The second part is that these qualities WIN when we possess and utilize them daily for the common good. Hence, the name GODWIN.

    In 2024, his family continued his legacy of love and support for people with disabilities and the underserved by forming the GIS organization.

    Godwin Incorporative Supported Living Services (GIS) provides home-based quality support and effective health and human living services to adults, seniors, and people with disabilities (consumers) who require unique health care needs. GIS helps consumers gain the capability and capacity to become self-reliant, independent, and empowered in their own homes by teaching them how to conduct activities of daily living (ADL) skills.
